Friday 9/24/04 Capt. Alan Lord, M/V Laura B. Crew: Marcia Fortune.

Sunny S 10 kts (70 degrees). Port Clyde harbor has been visited by Ospreys and Bald Eagles regularly. Eagles and Ospreys have been diving at each other. Peregrine Falcon seen in Port Clyde chasing Osprey. Two adult Bald Eagles spotted on Western Duck Rocks off of Monhegan. A juvenile eagle on the ledge next to them. White wing coots are reguarly seen between Burnt and Monhegan Island.

Overcast SW 10 kts. Bald Eagles on West Duck Rocks. Gannets observed over open water between Burnt and Allen Island. Cormorants migrating south. White wing coots in small flocks. More Common Loons are present on the ocean.

Tuesday 9/28/04 Capt. Alan Lord, M/V Laura B. Crew: Marcia Fortune, M/V Kingfisher.

Overcast light right calm wind. Seven Tree Pond to the St. George River and continue down to Warren.  Kingfishers, Blue Heron, Bald Eagle, Red Tail Hawk, Peregrine Falcon, Wood Ducks, Blue Wing Teal, Mallards, Osprey, Loons, Green Heron. All these species were seen on the St. George River.

Wednesday 9/29/04 Capt. Alan Lord, M/V Laura B. Crew: Marcia Fortune.

Cloudy NE Winds 15-20 kts, 4' seas. Bald Eagles in Port CLyde soaring over Huppers Island. Gannets in water NE of Monhegan Island. White wing coots. We have been seeing Wilson's Storm Petrels.

Peregrine Falcon sighted SSW of Burnt Island.
